We are thrilled to announce the launch of our very first partnership with Urban Student, a leading provider of high-end student accommodation in Bristol. Together, we are taking a meaningful step toward tackling period poverty in higher education.
Through this collaboration, Pleasantri has successfully donated 3,000 sanitary pads to students at the University of Bristol, making essential period care products freely available across campus. You can now find Pleasantri in first-year accommodation, libraries and study spaces, teaching buildings, and community social spaces. This initiative ensures that no student has to compromise their dignity or education due to lack of access to period products.
At Pleasantri, we believe that access to period care is a basic right, not a luxury. Our model is sustainable and stigma-free. We are not powered by donations but by value-led advertising that funds the distribution of high-quality menstrual products for free. It is a simple idea with real impact.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in our mission to promote menstrual equity and reduce the stigma surrounding periods. With over two decades of experience, Urban Student is deeply embedded in Bristol’s student community and is committed to supporting student wellbeing beyond accommodation. Their student-first ethos made them the ideal inaugural partner for Pleasantri, and we are incredibly grateful for their support.
We were especially proud to work closely with Phoebe Clutton, Marketing Executive at Urban Student, whose support helped bring this project to life. She shared:
“Pleasantri is an incredible student-led initiative, full of passion and drive to tackle period poverty head-on. Their energy and commitment to making menstrual products more accessible and breaking down stigma really stand out. We’re proud to team up with them through Urban Student to help push this important cause forward.”
This distribution is just the beginning. As we continue to grow, we will expand our reach, increase access to free period products across more campuses and community spaces, and continue working with partners who share our values.
We look forward to building on this momentum and to forging more partnerships that help bring dignity, equity and accessibility to all who menstruate.
